Premiums for bi-weekly, hourly-paid employees are deducted on the 1st and 2nd biweekly paycheck each month. 3rd biweekly paychecks will have no benefit deductions.
Premiums for exempt, salaried employees are deducted on a monthly basis either 12 paychecks per year, or 9 paychecks per year depending on employee classification and regular work schedule. Nine-month faculty provide services during the academic year, August 16 – May 15, and may elect to be paid on a non-deferred pay distribution cycle (9-over-9). The annual election process for nine-month faculty is administered by Payroll.
