Educational Benefit Program
Educational Benefits are available to eligible staff members, their spouses, and their dependents.
Eligible employees may receive 100% payment for up to 3 hours (in-state tuition rate) and 50% for all other hours taken. Eligible dependents of employees may receive up to 50% payment for all hours taken. Some exceptions apply. The University’s EAP Program provides employees and their family members with resources for resolving work related and personal problems including: marital, parent-child, substance abuse, stress, and personal budgeting. The program provides free assessment, short-term counseling, and referral services.

Voluntary Critical Illness Insurance
Critical Illness insurance plan is offered through Aflac. This coverage will pay eligible individuals a lump-sum payment if they are diagnosed with a covered critical illness such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, or renal (kidney) failure. New employees have 60 days in which to elect coverage in amounts ranging from $5,000 up to $50,000 and $25,000 for a spouse. Coverage will be effective the date the eligible employee signs the application.
Voluntary Long Term Care Insurance
Long term care coverage is offered through MetLife. This coverage provides benefits for an array of services, including home health care, assisted living facility care, adult day care, and respite care.
The University provides generous paid leave time to staff members, including: annual, sick, holiday, jury duty, and bereavement leave.
