Normal business operations of The University of Alabama will be suspended on holidays that are approved by the President and published annually by the Department of Human Resources. Eligible employees who are not required to work will be excused on such holidays without charge to leave or loss of pay and will be paid at their regular rates. In the event eligible employees are required to work on a holiday, non-exempt employees will be paid or given time off in accordance with current policy and exempt employees will be given equivalent time off.
