Human Resources is now offering facilitated onboarding services for newly hired leaders.  This process is used to introduce newly hired or promoted leaders, managers and supervisors to their team and ensure a more productive and efficient ramp-up period.  The intent is to provide both the leaders and his/her team information they will need to be successful.  Leaders who go through an effective on-boarding process have the opportunity to:

  • Establish clear expectations from the start
  • Develop team rapport by sharing information about themselves and learning about the team
  • Reduce time wasted on office gossip and speculation by communicating openly with the group
  • Identify possible strengths and weaknesses and focus efforts accordingly
  • Learn from the successes and missed opportunities of past leadership
